3-in-1 Travel Sleep Kit — Eye Mask, Head Support & Body Wrap

The reason you cannot sleep sitting up is not the seat. It is that nothing is holding your head. A neck pillow sits in the gap between your jaw and your shoulder, so the moment your muscles relax the head drops forward or rolls sideways, and you wake up before you ever get under. This kit takes a different approach: it fixes a padded support to the seat itself, then tethers your head to it.

Three pieces, used together. A contoured eye mask that straps to the headrest and holds your head upright while it blacks out the light. A padded head and neck support that fastens to the seat's own pillow with a snap buckle and velcro. And a wrap strap that swaddles your upper body — arms in, shoulders covered — so nothing is left hanging loose to wake you. Packed down, all three fold into the wrap's own carry strap and travel as a single soft bundle.

What is in the kit

• Contoured eye mask. A moulded 3D shape that sits away from the eyelids rather than pressing on them, with an adjustable elastic strap and velcro tabs at each side so it can be attached to the head support as well as worn on its own.
• Head and neck support. A curved padded pad with a snap buckle and velcro strap. It fastens around the seat's headrest or pillow, which is what stops it sliding down while you sleep.
• Wrap strap. A wide elastic sling that crosses your upper body and closes your arms in like a swaddle. It doubles as the carry strap for the whole kit — the three pieces fold into it and it goes over your shoulder.
• One size of eye mask and support, two strap lengths. The eye mask and the support pad are the same in both sizes. What changes between M and L is the length of the wrap strap.
• Black, all three pieces. One colourway, so the kit reads as one object rather than three separate accessories.

Size guide

The kit is made in two sizes, M and L, and the only measurement that changes between them is the wrap strap. The eye mask and the head support pad are identical in both. The figures below are as published with the product, in centimetres with inches alongside, and carry a hand-measuring tolerance.

The strap is elastic and the velcro tabs give adjustment, so the two sizes overlap rather than divide cleanly. If you are between them, take the longer strap — a strap that is slightly long can be shortened at the velcro, while one that is short cannot be stretched to fit.

Setting it up in 60 seconds

1. Fasten the support to the seat. Clip the snap buckle around the seat's headrest or its pillow, then pull the velcro tail tight so the pad sits against the back of your head, not behind your neck.
2. Set the depth. The pad should fill the gap between your head and the seat back. If your chin can still drop, the pad is too low or too loose.
3. Attach the eye mask. Clip or press the mask onto the support with the velcro tabs so the two pieces move as one. This is the step that stops the head tilting sideways.
4. Wrap your arms. Open the wrap strap, pass it behind your back at shoulder height, and bring it forward across your chest so your forearms rest inside it.
5. Close it in. Let the strap settle under your elbows. Your arms should be supported, not pinned — you can still reach a phone or a cup by sliding an arm out.
6. Adjust once, then stop. Sit back, let your weight settle, and check that your head is resting on the pad rather than being held up by your own neck muscles.

Where it works

The snap buckle is the reason the kit travels well. It fits the headrest of a standard economy seat, the taller headrest of a car seat, and the winged headrests on long-distance trains, so the same setup works whether you are on a plane, in a car, or on a rail journey. Because the support is fixed to the seat and not to your neck, the kit does not depend on you staying perfectly still — the seat does the holding.

When you are done, the eye mask and support fold flat into the wrap, and the wrap's strap closes over them into a soft shoulder bag roughly the size of a folded jumper. It goes in a carry-on without taking up a compartment of its own.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between M and L? Only the wrap strap — 23 cm on M and 33 cm on L. The eye mask and the support pad are the same in both sizes.

Can I use the eye mask on its own? Yes. The mask has its own adjustable elastic strap and works as a standard blackout mask without the support.

Does the wrap trap heat? It covers your shoulders and arms rather than your torso, and the fabric is a light knit with stretch. It is there to stop your arms hanging and to keep the air-conditioning off your shoulders, not to warm your whole body.

How do I pack it? Fold the mask and the support flat inside the open wrap strap, then close the strap over them. The kit then carries as a shoulder bag and packs into a carry-on.
